"Tell me and I will forget.
Show me and I will remember.
Involve me and I will understand."
Chinese Proverb
BCG promotes performance in a wide range of contexts, both inside and outside of the classroom: these include full-scale musicals, plays, class productions, assemblies, instrumental recitals, choir and orchestra concerts, monologue competitions and poetry recitals.

Drama helps develop confidence, empathy and communication skills among many others. Throughout the school it is incorporated into a variety of subjects such as English, History, and PSHE. From September 2020, Primary and Key Stage 3 & 4 classes will put on an annual play as part of the English Literature and Language curriculum.
We will also be introducing half-termly monologue and duologue competitions and poetry recitals in the secondary school.
There are also opportunities for pupils to take LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts) examinations in Acting and Public Speaking, either individually or in groups.
We also offer a GCSE in Drama - a performance-based syllabus that comprises acting, directing, devising and reviewing live theatre.

In 2019-2020, our Junior Musical Theatre club (Years 2 – 6) rehearsed songs, scenes and dances from famous musicals such as Annie, The Lion King, Matilda, The Little Mermaid, High School Musical, and more. They performed regularly to parents and friends in evening recitals. Watch this space for the next Junior Musical Theatre production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, as soon as Covid-19 restrictions are lifted. Auditions coming soon...

Our dedicated Secondary actors meet weekly to rehearse in preparation for a summer musical theatre production at a local theatre. In 2019-2020 our young actors, singers and dancers worked towards a production of High School Musical, learning and memorising lines, lyrics, harmonies, staging, acting, and complicated choreographies, which is not only hard work, but a lot of fun too! Calling all actors, dancers and singers - watch this space for auditions for our next Senior musical production of Annie, as soon as Covid-19 restrictions are lifted!

The best inspiration comes from watching professionals at work. BCG has hosted talks, workshops and mini plays from a local theatre company and local actors. Our pupils also have the opportunity to attend theatre productions, organised as school trips, and are encouraged to support our musical theatre productions in the summer term. From September 2020 we will be introducing half-termly monologue and duologue competitions and poetry recitals in the secondary school, as well as class productions in both Primary and Secondary.
In addition to two successful Musical Theatre clubs, we offer after-school LAMDA acting as well as dance classes in a variety of genres including hip hop, contemporary ballet, and modern.
Music plays an important part in the lives of all our children in both primary and secondary school. In addition to our school choirs, who come together to perform in concerts twice a year, two orchestras and a popular music group, we have a large team of professional peripatetic teachers offering individual and group lessons in a wide range of instruments, voice and dance.

At BCG Music is an important and creative part of the curriculum. We provide opportunities for all children to create, play, perform and enjoy music, to develop skills and appreciate a wide variety of musical forms from Early Years to KS3. Children are encouraged to participate in a variety of musical experiences through which we endeavour to build up the confidence of all children. Our Music Room is fully stocked with instruments including enough keyboards, glockenspiels, drums, and ukuleles for everyone in a class of 25.
Pupils also have the opportunity to sit practical and theory exams with the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal school of Music), and to further develop their knowledge of, and talents in, Music, Composition and Performance in the 2-year in depth GCSE course offered from Year 10.

BCG offers instrumental lessons offered to every pupil during and after the school day, taught by a team of highly professional, passionate, specialist teachers of piano, cello, violin, voice, flute, guitar, ukulele, bass guitar and drums. This programme has proven to be extremely popular with pupils of all ages – 1 in 4 pupils learn an instrument in school! Pupils can also choose to take the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal School of Music) exams, grades 1 – 8.

In 2020 we became the first school in Spain to offer the acclaimed “Groove n´ Play” Strings workshop, a ten-week course created in conjunction with the Royal School of Music in London, in which every Year 6 child learns to play either the violin or cello as part of an ensemble, culminating in a concert open to parents and friends. We hope to offer this annually!

We at BCG believe that music enriches the lives of people, and so we endeavour to involve as many children as possible in musical activities. The Secondary Rock & Pop Band, Secondary and Primary Orchestras, and Primary and and Secondary School Choirs perform regularly at events such as the Christmas fair, Winter Concert, Spring Recital, Summer Concert, Sant Jordi, BISA talent show, and many others. We also host musicians giving concerts and talks to our students.
We have two Primary orchestras, a Secondary orchestra, and Secondary Samba Band all offered free of charge at lunchtimes.
Subject to demand, we offer a range of after school clubs including Junior Musical Theatre, Senior Musical Theatre, Grade 5 Theory (ABRSM) and Ukulele Club.
A Summer of Real English, Real Adventure, Real Growth
At BCA Summer Camp, summer has a clear purpose. Children strengthen their English, grow in confidence, and discover new strengths within a safe and inspiring environment.
Each day is carefully structured to combine focused English sessions, creative workshops, outdoor challenges and adventure-based activities. The programme balances academic development with movement, collaboration and fun, ensuring that learning feels natural and engaging throughout the day.
Our 2026 edition runs for four weeks in July, starting the week of July 6th. Each week is built around a different country theme, shaping projects, workshops and cultural activities that give students a rich and varied English experience. Families may enrol for one week or multiple weeks.
Who Can Join?
BCA Summer Camp 2026 is open to students born between 2010 and 2023, whether they are part of the BCA community or joining us from other schools in Andorra or abroad.
Students are organised into age-appropriate groups according to both age and English level, ensuring that every child benefits from a supportive, engaging and appropriately challenging experience.
A key element of BCA Summer Camp is our weekly excursion, designed to complement the programme with movement, challenge and shared experiences outside the classroom.
Each week, students take part in a carefully selected adventure activity that promotes confidence, coordination and teamwork in a safe and professionally supervised environment.
MontMagic - Outdoor Adventure in Nature
Set in the heart of the mountains, MontMagic offers an exciting outdoor adventure experience. From alpine activities to guided challenges, students enjoy fresh air, movement and team-based experiences in a spectacular natural setting.
360°eXtrem - Freestyle & Movement
At Andorra’s leading indoor freestyle centre, students challenge themselves through trampolines, balance activities and movement-based circuits. These sessions encourage physical coordination, resilience and confidence while maintaining the highest safety standards.
These outings are fully integrated into the weekly programme, providing meaningful opportunities for students to develop teamwork, independence and communication skills
A gentle introduction to summer in English for our youngest learners. Within a caring and well-structured environment, children build confidence through play, movement and guided discovery.
Each week is inspired by the camp’s country theme, introducing new stories, music and creative activities in an age-appropriate and playful way.
A Balanced Daily Rhythm
Our Koalas follow a predictable routine that combines exploration with moments of calm:
• Storytelling, songs and sensory activities
• Creative workshops and hands-on discovery
• Outdoor play and water fun
• Adapted excursions and adventure days
• A simple Friday celebration to recognise effort and participation
Children are organised into small sub-groups to ensure close attention and personalised support.
Small Groups & Close Supervision
Koalas benefit from a low adult-to-child ratio (approximately 1:7), supported by two qualified teachers and two teaching assistants. This ensures attentive supervision, personalised guidance and a secure environment at all times.
For children aged 6 to 11, the programme combines structured English development with creativity, movement and adventure. The weekly country theme provides context for projects, workshops and collaborative challenges.
Students are organised into two groups:
Within each group, students also work in smaller sub-groups according to English level to ensure appropriate challenge and support.
Each day follows a clear and balanced structure built around three core elements:
(DROP DOWN 1) English in Action
Focused English sessions build speaking, listening and communication skills through project-based learning, storytelling, collaborative challenges and guided reading.
(DROP DOWN 2 ) Creative & Themed Workshops
Inspired by each week’s country theme, workshops include science experiments, cooking sessions, design challenges, art projects and problem-solving tasks.
(DROP DOWN 3) Outdoor & Adventure Activities
Afternoons include sports, team challenges, water games and movement-based activities. Wednesdays are dedicated to our weekly adventure excursions (360°eXtrem or MontMagic), followed by creative social time back at camp.
Fridays conclude with an outdoor adventure block, including Geocaching, team games and picnic time.
Designed for students aged 12 to 16, the Teens Summer Experience offers greater independence, deeper collaboration and real-world English use within a structured and supportive environment. Each week is shaped by the country theme, providing meaningful context for projects, debates and creative challenges.
(DROP DOWN 1) English in Action
English sessions focus on authentic communication through podcasts, debates, short films, presentations and collaborative tasks.
(DROP DOWN 2) Workshops with Purpose
Workshops encourage creativity and problem-solving, from STEM challenges and design projects to photography and cooking experiences.
(DROP DOWN 3) Outdoor & Adventure
Afternoons balance structured activity with responsible independence, including team sports, movement challenges and creative free-choice sessions. Wednesdays are dedicated to our weekly adventure excursions (360°eXtrem or MontMagic), followed by creative social time at camp.
Fridays conclude with outdoor adventure blocks, including geocaching, engineering challenges and team-based activities.
At BCA Summer Camp, confidence grows when effort is recognised. Alongside academic and creative development, we actively encourage responsibility, positive behaviour and participation.
(DROP DOWN 1): Daily Behaviour Passports (Chimps & Leopards)
Our 6-11 year-olds take part in a daily Behaviour Passport system. Students can earn stickers for helping others, listening and focus, respecting materials, speaking English, and showing effort and participation.
On Fridays, students are invited to visit the Sticker Shop and choose a small prize to celebrate their engagement throughout the week.
(DROP DOWN 2): End-of-Week Certificates (Chimps, Leopards & Lions)
Every Friday, each group recognises one student for a specific strength demonstrated during the week. Certificates may acknowledge areas such as Most Improved in English, Biggest Effort, Sports Star, Listening Star, Best Artistic Skills or English Speaker of the Week.
These moments celebrate growth, commitment and personal development across the camp programme.
